Did you know that watching cooking shows can cause you to gain weight?

Well: the correlation isn’t quite as simple as that, but studies suggest that watching lots of cooking shows where people are preparing rich, sumptuous, fried or otherwise not great for you food can have a very real impact on what you crave and eat.

This can be extended to what we look at on social media – if we’re looking at amazing doughnuts all day, we’re unlikely to be quite as interested in a dinner of grilled chicken and salad.

So: cultivate a social media environment where you’re looking at bright, colourful vegetables, fruits and grains; get inspired by plant based blogs, and wholefoods chefs. See how your cravings change.
